LeBron James and Stephen Curry led the United States men's basketball team to a 121-120 victory over Nikola Jokic and Serbia in their opener at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

James scored the final 11 points for the US, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 2.5 seconds remaining.

Jokic led Serbia with 31 points and 13 rebounds.

In other Olympic basketball action, South Sudan stunned Puerto Rico 81-79 for its first-ever Olympic hoops win.

Carlik Jones scored 19 points for South Sudan, which rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half.
