Suryakumar Yadav's Fifty and Jasprit Bumrah's Majestic Spell Power India to Third T20I Victory Against Afghanistan
India defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets in the third and final T20I match of the series on January 17, 2024, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Suryakumar Yadav played a scintillating knock of 53 runs off just 28 balls, including four boundaries and three sixes, to lay the foundation for India's victory. He was well supported by Ishan Kishan (37) and Rohit Sharma (28).
In response to India's challenging total of 173 runs, Afghanistan could only muster 154 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah was the star performer with the ball, returning figures of 4 for 23 in his four overs.
With this victory, India completed a clean sweep of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The victory also extended India's winning streak in T20Is to seven matches.
